Color Outside the Lines Postcard with Tattered Tangles
A little inspiration can be sent anywhere by adding a little art and color to Canvas Home Basics Postcards and Tattered Angels Tattered Tangles designs.
Start with your favorite design from any of the Tattered Tangles packs – I used ‘Imagination’ and then pick your color palette, the colors I choose are listed below. The black & white Tattered Tangles art let’s you choose your favorite colors to work with. You can choose just a few or use a rainbow of paints.
Now you are ready to color in and outside of the lines with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze. The paints come with their own brush and are fun to work with, brush on similarly to applying nail polish, one color at a time or let the colors blend. Another fun technique is to drop a dot of the paint and let it dry; it will dry with dimension.
Glimmer Glam is also a resist paint, anywhere it is applied will remain that color, so when I added Glimmer Mist to the top, all of the Glimmer Glam color comes right through, make sure you let the paint dry completely before adding your Glimmer Mist for best results.
The Tattered Tangles Packs come with 12 different pieces of black & white art each in a variety of shapes and sizes. They can be used as is or cut into different sizes, layered…so much fun to work with.
After the art is done, glue to the back of one of the 4”x6” Postcards. There are 6 postcards in a 12”x12” sheet. You can mail your decorated postcard just like it is or slip into an envelope, add the address and a stamp and send it on its way to make someone’s day……
